Artist Talk at Colored Girls Museum

April 8, 2018 @ 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm

On Sunday, April 8th, The Colored Girls Museum will be hosting our first Artist Talks for this season. We have invited Keisha Whatley and Intisar Hamilton to talk about their experience creating portraits for our new series titled “First Time Ever I Saw Your Face.” We asked artists to identify a Colored Girl between the ages of 7 and 21, and have her sit for a portrait. We also asked them to document parts of the process, and to share it with our guests at the Museum

Please email us at thecoloredgirlsmuseum@gmail.com, or call us at 267-630-4438, to schedule an appointment.  Tours Sundays: 1-5pm.
